As part of Pour & Explore Martinborough, Tiwaiwaka Wines is opening the cellar doors for two exclusive Library Stock Tasting events, offering a rare opportunity to taste carefully cellared back vintages alongside the people who made them.
Hosted by owner and winemaker Morton Anderson, this intimate experience takes guests on a journey through more than 20 years of Martinborough winemaking. Each wine has been hand-selected from the Tiwaiwaka library, with Morton sharing the stories behind every vintage – from the unique growing seasons and winemaking decisions to the moments that shaped the wines in your glass.
Since purchasing their five-acre vineyard in 2002, Morton and his wife Elise have built Tiwaiwaka into one of Martinborough's true boutique wineries. Every bottle is a labour of love, with the couple personally involved in every stage of the process – from nurturing the vines and harvesting the fruit through to bottling, labelling and welcoming guests into their rustic cellar door. It's this hands-on philosophy that gives every wine its unmistakable sense of place and personality.
Unlike a traditional wine tasting, this is a conversation across two decades of vintages. You'll discover how wines evolve with age, gain insight into the craft of winemaking, and experience the stories that simply can't be found on a wine label.
With only a limited number of seats available, these tastings have been designed to be personal, relaxed and interactive, giving every guest the chance to ask questions, hear firsthand stories from the vineyard, and enjoy wines that are rarely opened to the public.
At just $50 per person, this is a rare opportunity to experience Martinborough through the eyes of one of its passionate family winemakers.
Whether you're a seasoned wine lover, a collector, or simply looking for a memorable experience during Pour & Explore, this is an event not to miss.
Seats are strictly limited and bookings are essential.
